The Students’ Association Union of the Wentian College at HIT takes unity, guidance, and service as its mission and actively organizes and plans various activities to improve students’ comprehensive qualities and create a colorful and fulfilling university life for them.
Organization Department: The Organization Department of the Student’ Association Union at the College plays a crucial role in assisting the union in strengthening ideological construction and organizational development of Communist Youth League, as well as the training and management of its cadres throughout the college. Besides, it is responsible for organizing and coordinating the work of the college’s union, cultivating essential cadres, and guiding the right ideology for students while collecting and organizing information about the union members, handling daily affairs, collaborating with other departments to accomplish shared tasks, and managing the finances of various activities.
Learning Affairs Department:The main works of the Leaning Department of the Student’s Association Union at the college is to assist the Communist Youth League Committee of the college in organizing activities related to academic studies and scientific innovation. Currently, the department is primarily focused on providing academic assistance, sharing content related to discipline competitions, organizing visits to series of laboratories named after “Seeking Answers in the Sky”. It aims to cultivate a broad academic perspective in students, create a conducive academic environment for them, and encourage them to create a bond between personal growth and national needs as well as the development of academic fields, which is helpful for students to determine their development directions and participate in scientific and innovative activities.
Entertainment and Sports Department: Being composed of two directors and eight staff members, the Entertainment and Sports Department of the Students’ Association Union at the college is responsible for organizing and carrying out various entertainment and sports activities at the college level, covering works from general planning to specific implementation in all aspects. The department plans numerous activities with the aim of enriching students’ extracurricular lives and providing opportunities and platforms for all students and student communities at the college.
Living Affairs Department: The Living Affairs Department of the Students’ Association Union at the college is responsible for creating a civilized, warm, and harmonious cultural atmosphere within the college and dormitories. It is committed to promoting the comprehensive development of students under the framework of quality education. In addition, the department aims to enhance students’ sense of belonging to both the college and their dormitories through the organization of themed activities related to dormitory culture and by advocating for the legitimate rights and interests of students, ensuring that they can gain a sense of belonging in the dormitory while acquiring knowledge in the classroom.
